Django-shop vs Satchless?

Can anyone compare these two e-commerce systems?

I found this link , but I'm not sure how outdated it can be. He mentioned that Satchless was still at an early stage. And at least according to this post from last year, django-shop was not ready for production. Is this production ready?

I need is actually quite simple. I only need a B2C website (i.e. only I sell products to customers). Desired features include anonymous verification, shipping costs + tax calculation, convenient product return interface, PayPal support. The code, I hope, is easy to read and configure (this way I will avoid Satchmo)

For Satchless: is it based on Satchmo or is it texting?

For django-shop: I noticed that there is a giant ecosystem for django-shop. This means that django-shop is highly customizable, but it can also imply code inconsistency and implementation quality. And it looks like even a paypal checkout needs a third-party extension?

Thanks again, I appreciate all your input.

Satchless is not a rewrite of Satchmo, this name is just a reaction to the perceived low quality of the Satchmo code base. It is designed as minimal but extensible. Over the past couple of years, it has changed a bit, so it cannot be a particularly stable choice of platform (i.e., the API will probably continue to change a lot).

There is also Oscar, which is more self-confident and rich, but still designed to expand: https://github.com/tangentlabs/django-oscar

Disclaimer: I worked with the Satchless guys (not Satchless) and Oscar directly.

Your requirements sound like Mezzanine + Cartridge will be the best solution for you.
