How to install the latest version of Xuggler (5.4, as of 05/18/2013) in eclipse?

Question

I literally have no clue where to start doing this. I downloaded the required Jar from the site and did some research on how to install Xuggler in Eclipse, and everything is deprecated or not relevant.

My system is 64-bit Windows 8. Most of the things that worked on Vista and Windows 7 should be compatible with my system if they are also 64-bit compatible. All I would like to do is explicitly run the application with it in Eclipse.

Any tips, helpful explanations would be much appreciated.

You can download Xuggler 5.4 here

and a few more cans to make it work ...

You can check what xuggler dependencies are required from here :

Add this jars and xuggle-xuggler-5.4.jar to your project build path and it is ready.

If you are using maven, add this repository only:

<repository> <id>xuggle repo</id> <url>http://xuggle.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/repo/share/java/</url> </repository> 

and this dependency:

  <dependency> <groupId>xuggle</groupId> <artifactId>xuggle-xuggler</artifactId> <version>5.2</version> </dependency> 

I currently use this dependency and work great.
