How to suppress Windows command output?

Question

I move thousands of files through the command line and prints all the file names on the console. Is there a way to ignore the exit so that it can go faster? Something like piping to / dev / null on Linux.

This seems to do the trick:

 MOVE oldfile.wp newfile.doc >nul

I had the same problem and solved it like this:

 move aaa bbb >nul 2>nul
