Xcode Interface Builder - vertically ambiguous views

Xcode tells me that 8 views are vertically ambiguous , but this does not indicate which view manager in my storyboard is actually causing the problem. I clicked on the warning message, which simply leads me to the storyboard, and tried to expand all 20 view controllers in the outline of the document, and none of them showed this small warning indicator.

This can be a pretty ugly way of figuring out which views trigger the warnings, but I had the same problem. What I did was in the Problem Navigator, right-click on the warning and click "show in log". In the log, xcode gave me warnings followed by a semicolon and a value. Then I opened the storyboard in TextEdit to see the XML storyboards. I searched the values and found that they are identification numbers for the views in the storyboard. From there, I was able to figure out which views were in which view controllers caused problems. Hope this helps.

if you open the left panel on the storyboard (Document Outline), you will see a red circle with an arrow next to the ambiguous name. Click it to see more details.

Here is an example with a red circle with an arrow.

These details may include another such red circle with an arrow that will make offers.

I have such a dumb problem too. I selected all the elements, cut them out and pasted them again, then the warning disappeared. Really sucks .....

Selecting everything and turning off the automatic layout, and then turned on again, in the file inspector panel in the storyboard, allowed this for me
