Building a war with intellij

Question

I have a Java EE project that I imported into IntelliJ. I can compile the project, but for some reason I can’t build an artifact of war, when I go to the build tab, the <build artifacts> option is turned off (i.e. I can’t select it). my project compiles fine, but I'm still confused about how I can build my war.

The operational sequence may be as follows (depending on the version of the IDE):

Select:

File → Project Structure → Artifacts

Then press Alt + Insert and create a new artifact:

After this action, the assembly artifacts item should be available.
