IOS is an old version of the application installed from the application store

I released an update for my application 2 days ago. Since then, I have heard from users that they are getting an old version of the application.

In fact, the strange part is that the user sees a new description of the application and screenshots in the application store.

I figured out how to reliably reproduce the problem. Is this something I can fix? I contacted Apple and searched the Internet, but found nothing.

To get the old version:

  • Go to appstore. Find SocialPar.
  • Click to install the application.
  • While it is loading, return the iPhone main screen (spingboard). You will see the installation of the application.
  • You now have an old version of the application.

To get the new version:

  • Go to appstore. Find SocialPar.
  • Click to install the application.
  • Wait for the application to complete the installation.
  • Press button
  • It will request passwords for itunes account
  • He will install again
  • Click again
  • You now have the correct version of the application.

I spend a lot of money promoting my application right now and killing it, that my marketing efforts are forcing people to install an old version of my application.

Can I reproduce this with my applications?

This is probably due to iCloud, as I had a very similar problem. If you previously downloaded your application on any device, and then download it to a new device, it will download the same version as before. Then you will be able to upgrade to the latest version.

Confuse me to start with!

Apple now allows users to download older versions of your application .

This can be prevented by going to iTunes connect and visiting the Rights and Prices app. Below is the link "Manage iCloud download settings for this application", in which you can exclude access to the old version.
