[Note: the first three parts of this text are the same text as the Swathi responder, but there was a question about the subsequent comment, which was not known, that I found an answer to the question about what colors look muted after D. I would add a comment, but right now I don’t have enough karma.]
1) On the design surface, right-click outside the pie chart, but inside the borders of the chart and select Chart Properties. The Chart Properties dialog box appears.
2) On the 3D Options tab, select Enable 3D.
3) If you want the chart to have more space for shortcuts, but still display two-dimensional, set the Rotation and Inclination to 0.
4) If you want colors not to be muted when using a three-dimensional image to simulate a two-dimensional image, in the “Appearance / 3DDStyle” section, change Shading to None.
