TFS: folder display removed, but map display continues

It’s not easy for me to get TFS to let go of some folder mappings.

This is my first time working with Team Foundation Server. I have a folder tree on a server with a lot of folders. I mapped a couple of project folders to local directories before I decided that I would rather just map the root folder, check recursion and map the folder structure on the server.

After that, the lower level displays were displayed, so I decided to start from scratch. I deleted all the mappings by right-clicking on each mapped folder and selecting Delete Mapping. Then I re-mapped the root folder with recursive control.

The problem is that the original mappings are still displayed in lower level folders. The "local path" shows the old local path, not the new one.

I tried to close Visual Studio 2010 and delete the C: \ Users \ myusername \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Team Foundation \ 3.0 folder and open VS again. Nevertheless, the old way shows.

I clicked on the drop-down list Workspace -> workspaces ... β†’ edited and deleted all workspaces. Nevertheless, the old way shows.

Does anyone know how to get around this? Where are these folder mappings stored?

After updating the mappings, Visual Studio will prompt you to "Get the latest version" and this will let you skip this step. Skipping this (or after changing from the command line), to make changes to your mappings, you need to get the latest version (or Get specific information).
