I am sure this is something stupid that I do, but after an hour I do not see it. Maybe you can. Edit : this is a device (iPhone 5S w / iOS 8.4), not a simulator.
I have an iOS 8 application with DownloadManager, a singleton that subclasses AFHTTPSessionManager using BackgroundSession. It worked fine, but now I did something, and the result is that AFNetworking lock in setDownloadTaskDidFinishDownloadingBlock when I refer to self.tasks.count :

dataTaskManager belongs to a separate subclass of AFHTTPSessionManager, which is a standard session (not background) - removing this from the log line above does not solve the problem.
DownloadManager completeQueue is set to init as the next queue that DownloadManager uses for everything:
