Adb does not recognize Samsung gear or watch lg g

I am trying to run adb on samsung live watch watch on windows 7. I do not seem to find device drivers to recognize its adb. This is what I already have -

  • I already enabled adb debugging in live transfer
  • I went to the device manager and indicated the location of the device driver for real-time transmission to sdk \ extras \ google \ usb_driver
  • Bad luck. adb devices does not produce results.
  • It seems I did not find the device driver elsewhere for Windows 7.

I am running Windows 8.1 and this method worked just fine:

Open the device manager and select "Update Driver Software ..." on your Gear Live: Device manager

Select "Browse My Computer for Driver Software": browse

Select "Let me choose from the list of drivers on my computer": manually pick

Select "Android device." If it is not available, it can be renamed to "Android Device for Android", "Android Device for Asus", etc. pick Android Device

Then select the “Android Composite ADB interface” from Google, Samsung, or virtually any other Android device provider: pick Composite ADB interface

This works because, as a rule, the only differences between all these composite Windows ADB drivers are usb_id and signature.

Now adb devices should return your device, and a pop-up window will appear on your Android device to authorize your computer.

In Win 7, as I found, you need to make a copy of "... \ sdk \ extras \ google \ usb_driver" on the desktop or in another place, and then edit the file "android_winusb.inf" to add a description of Gear Live:

  • First open the device manager and right-click “Gear Live” in “Other Devices” and select “Properties”. In the "Details" folder, select "Material Identification Numbers" and copy the second ("My os in French, so I'm trying to translate the names correctly ..."). The number to copy should look (or be): "USB \ VID_18D1 & PID_D002"

  • Then edit "android_winusb.inf" (the one that was copied earlier in the case ...) and add the following lines to "[Google.NTx86]" at the end:

    ; Gear live

    % SingleAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB \ VID_18D1 & PID_D002

    % CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB \ VID_18D1 & PID_D002 & MI_01

Be careful to change "USB \ VID_18D1 & PID_D002" with your material number if necessary (but let "& MI_01" on the second line.

  • Do the same under [Google.NTamd64].

  • Now you can return to the "device manager", right-click "Gear Live", select "Update driver software", then "View my computer ..." and select the folder in which you simply edit "android_winusb.inf" .

You need to be paired with the phone and it will display a message to approve your computer in order to connect to adb in the same way as you connect the phone regularly.
