Does iOS 8 support IndexedDB using UIWebView?

Question

I see that Safari on iOS 8 supports IndexedDB , but I can't find anything about UIWebView . From my preliminary testing, it seems like this is not the case, but I hope someone has a specific answer for me.

UIWebView does not support IndexedDB , but WKWebView does.
