How to view fxml file using SceneBuilder?

Sorry for such a simple question, but I find it hard to believe that I cannot actually view fxml when developing a user interface using JavaFX Scenebuilder.

I expect that I will be able to write a user interface using controls, as well as being able to write fxml directly.

How to view / edit fxml of my user interface in SceneBuilder without doing the following: -

  • Preservation
  • Editing with a text editor
  • Reopen with JavaFX Scene Builder

i.e. http://www.webhostingplanguide.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/CoffeeCup-HTML-Editor.jpg

As above, I would like to be able to work with the FXML or WYSIWYG interface.

Well, while there is no such opportunity to view FXML from Scene Builder. I can confirm this for Scene Builder 2.0 .

Although this can be a great addition to Scene Builder (if not a split screen, just view FXML). You can send a feature request here https://github.com/gluonhq/scenebuilder/issues .

There really is a way. Save the file and from the explorer open the .fxml file in the IDE, for example, VSCode.
