How to enable teamcity agent for Build Tools 2013

I am trying to build an asp.net mvc 4 application assembly on my teamcity server.

Server is Windows Server 2012 R2. with 64-bit OS.
Teamcity version is 8.1 (build 29879).

If I installed the MSBuild version for the MSBuild Tools 2013 agent, this is incompatible.

The reason is this: Unmet requirements: MSBuildTools12.0_x64_Path exists

I made sure that I am installing .net sdk, and as of its Windows Server 2012, .net 4.5 is already installed there (4.5.2 in my case). What to do to make it work?

Have you installed Build Tools ? They no longer come with the .NET framework , part of Windows or not, but with Studio or as a standalone installer. Remember to restart later.
