Background or reasoning for the error: TsLint: the comment must begin with a lowercase letter

Question

I get the following TsLint message in my project:

TsLint: Comment must begin with a lowercase letter

Is there any reason for this? I agree with most of what I met at TsLint, and I know about the option to disable this warning.

I would rather understand why they propose this particular rule. I read the docs at https://github.com/palantir/tslint#supported-rules that explain what the rule does, but not why.

I asked the author on this.

It’s just a style rule and can be safely ignored if you don’t need it.

Personally, I can not think of any reason to apply this rule, so I recommend disabling it or ignoring it.
