Visual Studio Community 2013 4 software update error

I downloaded the Visual Studio Community 2013 Update 4 iso file from visualstudio.com to install VS on Windows 8.1 x64 , and I returned the SHA1 checksum of the iso file and the result was correct.

The problem was that the installation stops when using applications: Visual Studio Core, and then it fails and completes using

-Error and "Basic functions of Visual Studio -ENU Fatal installation error"

-Providing icons for three messages that were: "32-bit Microsoft Visual C ++ 2013 compilers" - the ENU resource package failed "," Microsoft Visual C ++ 2013 compilers - the ENU resource package failed "and" Microsoft source compilers Visual C ++ 2013 x64 - ENU Resource Package Failed to Execute

So far I have done the following: -

1) Disabled Anti-Virus, firewall and Anti-Malware before installing and starting the installation as an administrator.

2) Before installation, they cleaned% temp%, C: \ ProgramData \ Package Cache Package and AppData \ Local \ Temp.

3) Check all installed .Net structures using the .Net Framewrok setup verfication utility.

4) Used the system file checker tool to repair missing or damaged system files, as described in https://support.microsoft.com/KB/929833 , and the result was "Windows Resource Protection did not detect integrity violations".

And found these errors in the logs (ERROR comes from vs_professionalcore.msi ): -

What causes this problem? and how to solve it ?, from the error logs ERROR 2902 I worked on this, and I did not find any solutions.

First, I give the current user full control over C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0. By right-clicking on the properties of the folder, then make sure that the system, administrators and users have full control, add the current user profile and give full control, but this did not solve the problem. After that, I found that the value of the variable ComSpec System in a variable environment:% SystemRoot% \ system32 \ cmd.exe; C: \ wamp \ bin \ php \ php5.5.12;. Execution of the value% SystemRoot% \ system32 \ cmd.Exe; solved a problem.

EDIT: -

Adding the current user profile to C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0. the folder caused error 1316. The specified account already exists when I tried to delete VS 2013, so I deleted this profile, after which I was able to successfully delete VS 2013.

My first suggestion for solving this problem is to set user access control to the lowest value. I found this worked for me.

The problem is probably due to updates after installation.

You can try checking kb2829760 in your C:\ProgramData\Package Cache (see http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2829760 ).

On my system, I found C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\07D2D6FD53E7EDE1FB612619A11BBCD5530A3E56\packages\vsupdate_kb2829760\vsupdate_kb2829760.exe that I worked with /Uninstall /Force flags (my problem was cleaning up the orphaned components of appwiz.cpl and appwiz.cpl not shown in the list of updates).

In any case, I suggest doing a deep check on the C:\ProgramData\Package Cache . For example, if you are looking for vs ( dir /s /b *vs* ) you can check all the GUIDs and paths that sound like likely candidates for cleanup.

I solved this problem as follows: first, I deactivated the Windows firewall, and then using the free program: Revo Unistaller Pro ( http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html ), I cleared the old Visual Studio installation. Subsequently, I used CCleaner to manually remove all Visual Studio-dependent components:

and

Subsequently, from the command line (as an administrator) I used this

name like 'microsoft visual%'" call uninstall /nointeractive

to remove other packages. Note: Repeat for SQL, etc., replacing visual% in the above command with sql.

Then restart your computer and try installing Visual Studio.

Best wishes
