Built-in frameworks <iOS 8

Well, thatโ€™s why this guy had a building without any problems and sent an application focused on iOS 7+ using the built-in infrastructure.

He points out that the Apple Engineer, nicknamed "SevenTenEleven" , mentioned in the Apple Dev Forums, the following warning ...

ld: warning: built-in dylibs / frameworks only work on iOS 8 or later

... it's just a mistake.

The warning is still present in Xcode 6.3, and it seems that the presentation in the App Store is the only way to find out for yourself if this is actually a bug or not.

Has anyone found any documentation that suggests that this is just a mistake, and that there really is nothing to worry about?

Building an app to see if such an infrastructure can target iOS 7 and go through the app submission process in the App Store is crazy. Unfortunately, my client just wants the SDK, so there is no application in which I can perform a trial run at the moment.

Used a ticket to talk with Apple

"Hi Rob

Thank you for contacting Apple Developer Technical Support (DTS). I am currently investigating your problem. To answer your question, I need to consult some people on iTunes Connect. Unfortunately, this can take some time, as they are very busy.

In the meantime, I will point out that only the built-in infrastructure is supported on iOS 8. The only question is whether dlopen () can be used to conditionally load the built-in infrastructure on iOS 8, and not to load the built-in structure in earlier versions of iOS.

I will let you know what I hear from iTunes Connect about this issue.

"Hi Rob

Built-in frameworks are only supported on iOS 8 and above. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use the built-in framework on iOS 7.

While during development you can run applications with built-in frameworks on iOS 7, you will not be able to send such applications to the App Store. An error message appears stating that MinimumOSVersion of the built-in framework must be at least 8.0.

I ran into this exact problem about a month ago. I was forced to target iOS 8.0 in application projects and built-in frameworks.

And I just tried sending the app again with iOS 7 support, and this time it was approved!

I'm crazy? Honestly, it's hard for me to understand the logic around this.
