Route audio from Android Phone to PC via USB?

I want to redirect the sound from an Android application that I am developing on a PC through a standard USB cable. I found some sources discussing native USB Audio support in Android Lollipop, but I cannot find any documentation or sample code on the Internet.

Is it possible? Preferably, Windows should recognize the device as a standard microphone without the need for any additional drivers or software.
