Download part of GUAVA libraries

The current version (14.0.1) from guava libraries is 2 MB. He is not huge, he is not small. Especially when I want to use it in a model project for my students and you only need a part of the "String" to parse some input.

Are there any smaller parts of Guava available as compiled JARs, or should I use all of this, or compile and prepare my own package (for example, using ProGuard )?

According to the Maven Repository , there seems to be no smaller jar files that depend on the Guava library.

So, I would say no, there are no smaller parts of the Guava library that you can use. You will have to create your own jar files only with the classes you need.

So, ProGuard seems to be the right solution for you.
