Get google plus url based on place_id or other location data as input

This solution is no longer correct - the return URL is now always the maps.google.com URL. Is there a way to get google url with place id or with some other software tools?

  • I'm fine using an API that costs money.
  • I am fine with some other location information as input, but would prefer to use the place identifier as input.
