Deploy two versions of the same application

I am working on a .NET-MVC application, and on a test server I want to deploy 2 versions of the same application.

I am deploying using the publish option for the relevant projects in the application.

On the test server, I have separate folders for two versions, and in IIS (v7.5) I have 2 virtual paths.

However, when I run the latest version of the application, the compilation picks a different version.

How can i stop this?

I found that the problem is not related to two versions.

For some reason, I can’t understand, I had a problem publishing the application. What I do is published in a local folder and copies the contents to a test server for deployment. It happened that the publishing process did not overwrite some files in the local folder.

I can’t imagine why this happened.

So, I deleted the contents of this folder and published it again.

This time it worked!

So, I intended to remove this question, but I cannot do this because he has generosity.

Maybe I’ll answer my question, maybe it will help someone. It might even help me if anyone can explain why the publication option was the same as him.

EDIT . Thomas Body in the comment below correctly indicates that in the publication editor you can mark a field that deletes everything in the folder before publication.
