Copy clipboard from iOS Simulator on Mac?

Can I copy the clipboard from an iOS simulator to my mac?

Not sure what I should ask here or in AskDifferent .

  • Select the text in the simulator and make sure that the edit menu with "Copy" is displayed on the simulator screen.
  • Use your Mac keyboard to press โ€œ โŒ˜ + C โ€ to copy text to the Mac clipboard.

In addition to using the Edit menu in Simulator.app to copy data between macOS and iOS boards with Xcode 8, you can do this from the simctl command line. Departure:

xcrun simctl pbinfo xcrun simctl pbsync xcrun simctl pbcopy xcrun simctl pbpaste

Yes! First, make sure that everything you want to send to your Mac is already on your clipboard. Then make a regular copy of the quick copy ( โŒ˜ + C ) to load the simulator clipboard into the Mac clipboard.

Now you can paste everything that was on your Mac, given that it is a compatible format.
