WebStorm Reset default settings

I applied this theme to WebStorm, but I don't like it.

How can I return to the default WebStorm settings?

Depending on which OS you are running on, you may be able to delete the configuration file and the web storm will create it again.

Usually there are .idea folders, as @camden_kid said.

Windows

 <User home>\.WebStormXX\config that contains user-specific settings. <User home> in WindowsXP is C:\Documents and Settings\<User name>\; in Windows Vista it is C:\Users\<User name>\

Linux

 /.WebStormXX/config that contains user-specific settings

mac.

~/Library/Preferences/WebStormXX contains the rest of the configuration settings.

You can simply change the theme depending on how destructive the theme files are. https://www.jetbrains.com/help/webstorm/2016.1/appearance.html stack overflow.site/questions/84027 / ...

Just disable (or better, delete) this plugin - this is it.

  • Settings/Preferences | Plugins
  • Find this plugin ( Material Theme UI ) and click "Uninstall"
  • Close the settings / settings window by clicking OK
  • Restart IDE
  • Now you can separately change the graphical user interface layout and color editor

Removing the previously used Material UI Theme plugin did not help me completely, because some colors were still overwritten.

After deleting the β€œcolors” folder inside the config folder of my Webstorm installation directory, the default theme was completely reset.

On MacOS Mojave, I needed to go to /Users/loggedInUser/Library/preferences/WebStorm2019.2/ and delete the colors and options folders, and that helped.
