How to update ICS calendar calendar?

I am trying to create .ics files that I want to send as attachments to clients. For some reason, if the meeting has been rescheduled, it is not updated on either the Google Calendar or the Calendar app on Mac OS.

Here is a meeting. with SEQUENCE: 1:

And here is an updated meeting with SEQUENCE: 2 and DTSTART every other day:

  • When I open the first file in a Google calendar (from an email attachment) or Calendar application in a Mac meeting, it is expected to be added to the calendar.

  • When I open the second file on Google Calendar, a duplicate meeting is created with the new meeting date.

  • When I open the second file in the Calendar application, then ... nothing happens - the first meeting just “bounces” in the date cell, but nothing happens ...

What could be wrong with these ics files?

I also can’t cancel the meeting, even though gmail recognizes it (.ics attachment) and displays the message “This meeting has been canceled.”

And here is what gmail shows when I try to cancel a meeting (This shows that the "Meeting is canceled" in Polish) (but the event is not deleted / updated in the Google calendar):

The properties of your ATTENDEE do not look right. A colon character, which after the property name should not be present due to the fact that the property has parameters.

For example:

 ATTENDEE:;CN="user1";RSVP=FALSE:mailto:user1@example.com

should be as follows:

 ATTENDEE;CN="user1";RSVP=FALSE:mailto:user1@example.com
