Navigation | The class or file popup closes immediately in IntelliJ IDEA 2017.2

I'm having an annoying problem as I upgrade the IntelliJ IDEA community to this version:

IntelliJ IDEA 2017.2 Build #IC-172.3317.76, built on July 15, 2017 JRE: 1.8.0_152-release-915-b5 amd64 JVM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM by JetBrains sro Linux 4.8.0-53-generic

There was a problem with the action "Main menu / Navigation / Class". When a trigger triggers this action by using a keyboard shortcut or accessing a menu, most of the time the "Enter Class Name" window appears, but closes immediately.

Sometimes an action works fine, but most of the time it doesn't.

I am using linux Mint 18.2 (Cinnamon).

This is a known issue, please follow it for updates:

Workaround (add the following via Help | Change user VM settings ):

  • -DactionSystem.xWindow.remove.focus.from.nonFocusable.popups=false

Another option is the downgrade option to version 2017.1.

UPDATE : the problem is resolved in version 2017.2.3 .
