WordPress Hack "___ 123___POST TITLE - SITE NAME___123___"

Today I saw something strange in the commentary on my blog. Someone commented on the blog title in a comment with the site name in the following format:

___123___POST TITLE – SITE NAME___123___

I googled with ___123___ and found that on so many comments on the site’s blog there is such a comment in the same format, and the whole site uses WordPress CMS.

I could not find the reason why people post this type of comment by accident on any website.

Really wanted to know what this comment does?

While I agree that you must have a security plugin on your site, this is most likely an unsuccessful probe attempt, and not an actual hack.

POST TITLE - THE SITE NAME is most likely associated with a script that tried to automatically capture information about your message and instead found that it could not find this information because it did not return your actual name / site name

The 3 underscores are used by some themes as a formatting tool so that the text displays as Bold and Italic, so if this probe worked, you would see 123 . In short, it looks weird because what they tried to do failed, if it worked, you would see something like " 123 My cool post - mySite.com 123 "

This is not a good way to automatically add this type of text to the header. Maybe someone is trying to hack!

You should try a different method of securing your site. You can use the security plugin or update everything in your WordPress from theme to plugin.

Make sure the version of WordPress is also updated with the latest version. Check with the security plugin if anyone tries to log in. If so, then the plugin has the ability to immediately block the IP address to protect your site. Remove all content that doesn't suit you and update your site with security.

All this is necessary to ensure the security of your site in the future in terms of a long period.

This may be helpful for you. Thanks.
