IronPython and ASP.NET

Has anyone created a site with IronPython and ASP.NET. What were your impressions and what combination is ready for prime time?

The current version of ASP.NET integration for IronPython is not very modern and is rather a "proof of concept." I do not think that a website will be created on it.

Edit:: I have a very high level of expectation of how this will work, and may raise the bar slightly. Maybe you should take what's in "ASP.NET Futures", write a test application for it, and see how it works for you. If you succeed, I would love to hear about it. Otherwise, I think there should be a new CTP in the next six months.

(I am an IronPython and IronRuby developer.)

Edit 2:. Since I originally posted this, was released

Check out the Dynamic Languages page in ASP.NET on Codeplex. It has the latest IronPython bits. This gives you no Visual Studio integration other than a sample website project, but it came.

Watch out for ASP.NET MVC

The IronRuby guys have some internal MVC builds for working with IronRuby, while IronPython 2 and IronRuby have a lot in common with DLR.

I'm not sure that they will support IronPython / IronRuby when MVC is released, but it is definitely worth your attention. The old ASP.NET forms-based development model is old, ruined, and more likely to go better.
