Employee Planning Software? Web browser

Just wondering if any of you know about any software / tools for planning work based on a web browser or browser?

Currently, all this is being done in Excel, but it's just not smart enough ... any product suggestions?

It takes a few employees to process in a few weeks and months ... in order to plan work in the short and long term, let me see possible problems with resources, etc.

This is a simple answer to the question when you only work on projects, but at my agency we work on projects and everyday types of custodians that can appear at any time and are usually “drop everything and do it now”.

If it were just projects, then any of the online project management tools (GoPlan, Copper Project, MS Project) would be sufficient (but definitely not Basecamp, I think this is normal for very small projects and small teams, but nothing more and I think it completely falls as a PM tool)

The only thing that was close to doing everything I wanted was Workschedule - http://www.workschedule.net/

His browser is based on low-cost and has many options that really allowed me to plan resource levels for the agency. The only drawback is that it looks pretty awful, but I soon realized that.

Clarification: should be general purpose, i.e. not only for one industry

We have foundmyshift.com over the years. The easiest website I could find at that time. Free to use for weeks (we don’t have to go far ahead). Comes with text messages and everything that is built in.

I like WSS (Windows Sharepoint Services). It is free and installs on a W2K3 or W2K8 server. Very easy to use out of the box. And easily customizable. With Intelligantt, you can also publish your MS Project files. Then, by plugging in Microsoft Office Sharepoint Designer, you can create some custom workflows.

And, of course, your favorite integration with Microsoft Office Outlook is always a plus. You can export your calendars and task lists.
