Reading Data from Flight Simulator

I am looking at creating some hardware components for interacting with Microsoft Flight Simulator, which (hopefully) will show the things that currently occupy screen real estate (altimeter, speed indicator, radio, etc.).

Is there a way to read the meanings that they have during FlightSim so that I can synchronize external, hardware components with what they should be on the screen? It is preferably relatively fast, so there is not much delay.

This link may give some insight into the Flight Simulator MS API (SimConnect): http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc526983.aspx

Take a look at Project Magenta p>

With several thousand installations to date, ranging from desktops to approved aircraft, Project Magenta strong> has become a very recognizable name in flight simulation. Our products cover a variety of specific glass cockpits, flight control systems and data logging software, and traditional IFR training software.

This project uses an interface module called FSUIPC

FSUIPC4 is an add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator X that provides an interface for other programs to read and write all kinds of relevant data related to the simulation, and in many ways even to control the process itself.

My experience is that SimConnect is a bit problematic, if not just for FSX. I believe that your efforts will be better focused on one of the FSUIPC libraries, which will give you interoperability with all versions of Flight Simulator from Microsoft and Ready3D.
