Firstly, the full disclosure: I just finished the full trial period for both Resharper and Coderush, and in the end I spent my money on Resharper.
To answer your question - yes, in my experience, Coderush is much faster than Resharper. Often with Resharper, the entire user interface is paused for a split second or so while it is dynamically compiling to check for errors in the code, and you can noticeably see the sidebar update. Coderush on hand added very little noticeable decrease in performance.
I am stuck with Resharper, although for two reasons: firstly, the set of functions that it provides is simply better suited to my work style. I gave Coderush four weeks to beat me another, but its main selling point (the frankly brilliant template engine) never made up for the lack of functionality that I had learned to rely on for four weeks with Resharper. Secondly, I noticed that the performance of Resharper improved significantly with the latest version, the slowdown was really very bad for files that in any case needed refactoring - files created with Resharper tended to work very well, since fewer errors were noted .
Both tools have a generous trial period, although I had no problems installing, uninstalling, and flipping between them, so the best I can offer is to try myself. For me, Coderush is faster and feels more professional, but Resharper has functionality that I didn’t want to give up.
