Why do people think that the only person who created C ++ was Bjarn Straustrup?

I am currently reading Straustup's book Design and Evolution of C ++, and it turns out that he is not the one who developed C ++.
When I hear someone say, โ€œBjarn Straustup developed C ++ blah-blah-blah,โ€ I always feel that itโ€™s very unfair to these guys who worked with BS - I mean Jonathan Shopiro, Andrew Koenig, Stan Lippman, Stefan Dewhurst and others. Why is that? Even wikipedia does not mention his team - only he. What is it?
EDIT :
When people say C #, they did not mean only Anders Halesberg, there was a development team working both in C # and the .NET Framework. Maybe because C ++ does not belong to any software company, like Java for Oracle or C # for Microsoft?

C ++ went through two main stages of its evolution.

In the early days, Bjarn Straustrup made a tongue. He obviously borrowed ideas from others and requested from several clever language developers, and no doubt he had a small team, but the language was mostly his child.

In those days, I really have no problem with Stroustrup developing the language. Obviously, he did not do this in a vacuum, he received great help from others, but that was exactly so. They helped him develop his own language. They did not take responsibility for this.

The second phase is now: the ISO standard. They are supported by committees, and in the C ++ committee, Stroustrup is just one of many members. His words may still carry even more weight due to his history with the language, but in principle he no longer has a special status. He is just a contributor, like everyone else on the committee.

At the moment when the language was standardized, it ceased to be "their" language. After that, he and many others simply helped ISO maintain and develop the language.

At least as I see it.

One of the reasons why people might think that Mr. Straustup did this is because he himself says this on the Internet:

I (Bjarne Straustrup) - designer and original C ++ implementer.

I have not read the book you mentioned; can you add quotes to the question that show how the evolution of the language is and who did what is explained in it? It seems strange that Mr. Straustrup claims that there is one thing on the Internet, very publicly, and the other in the book.

This is usually. Nobel prizes are also awarded to one or more people, and no one mentions the many people who devoted their time to the research process, which actually made the achievement possible.

One reason for this is that itโ€™s easier to remember one name than two dozen or hundreds.

This is similar to PHP and Rasmus Lerdorf. He gave rise to the idea, but other people later joined.

This is because people think about people, not about teams or companies. I think the human brain associates individual things with lonely people. The way we work domestically. Although we try to be rational and logical, we cannot deny our nature. This is the same reason the state has one single president, although decisions are made by many other politicians.

What you consider unfair is an irrational answer. At the risk of becoming even more upset, I have no problem saying that Linus Torvalds created Linux or that Jim Dollatti invented the Big Mac. The reason I can do this is because I do not suffer from the misconception that most not all products or inventions are the result of a synthesis of ideas and include many anonymous sources before proceeding with the implementation.
