Iphone Xcode 3.1.4 3.1.2 SDK, watchpoints not working?

If I try to set a watchpoint, I get a gdb error:

"cannot clear hardware watchpoints without package" Z2 "(write point)"

Then, it seems, it ruined the device (when restarting the device, it complains that the OS is too old for the SDK, although this is OS 3.1.2).

I have a bug to track that it would actually be easy to track the observation point, so this is really a pain.

Does anyone know if a watch should work? How to make them work?

Unfortunately, this is a known bug in OS 3.1.2. There are rumors about creating a new 3.1.3 around the corner, but I don’t know if this will help solve this problem.

I understand that this is a very old message, but I got the same error message trying to set a watchpoint using Xcode V4.3.2 (4E2002), running on OS X 10.7.3 Lion. I found the following link which explained that the message “cannot clear hardware watchpoints without the“ Z2 ”package (write point) indicates that the target machine does not have the necessary hardware support. For me, this meant that I needed to work under iPhone Simulator and not directly on iPhone 4. Also keep in mind that the latest version of Xcode 4.3.2 is used by default for a debugger (LLDB), which in the Xcode version does not support the installation of monitoring points, you must install the debugger in GDB in the Product: Change menu scheme. In the dialog box edits Nia scheme set field GDB debugging Debugging.
