Any decent weblogic tutorial?

We are moving the application from Tomcat to WebLogic. There are many things that we simply don’t know about. Is there a decent tutorial out there?

We know this , but I would like to read about experiences and / or information being processed.

Thanks in advance.

Well, I'm late, but I'm going to share two training materials that follow me, as I would find them useful right away.

WebLogic is a comprehensive enterprise-level product. I believe that Oracle is making a pretty good attempt to explain this in the doc introduction: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839%5F01/web.1111/e13752/toc.htm . You can follow the links to familiarize yourself with the detailed documentation of the functions you are interested in.

If this is not to your liking, Amazon has books, for example, for example. http://www.amazon.com/Professional-Oracle-WebLogic-Server-Programmer/dp/0470484306

It depends on your application, but if you can deploy it to tomcat, I would be surprised if you could not deploy it to WebLogic.

Having said that, I certainly hope that you have a good reason to use WebLogic (and I hope that the reason is not that the “Sales guy said it was awesome”). In my admittedly limited experience with WebLogic, I found that it’s a huge pain to use and cannot be fixed if something goes wrong (and it goes wrong).

On the other hand, I have a lot of experience with Tomcat, which is very easy to use and easy to troubleshoot (rather than troubleshooting, as it pretty much just works).
