How to minimize jquery files?

I use jquery and I have a couple of plugins that do not offer a smaller version. Therefore, I want to take the full version and update it, but all the sites on which I found that you are entering your javascript, and this reduces it, breaks the plugin.

As if he should cut something, because I get a syntax error.

So, did anyone get a good one that I can use?

If you are familiar with Java, you can also use the YUI compressor to minimize JS (and CSS) files yourself. We also use it here and it works great.

Javascript Compressor Rater

I believe that it runs js through the rhino and displays any errors found in front of you, and after you can choose the one that suits you best.

This may be due to the fact that one or several files do not have a final half-point, which is usually fine, but I think this causes a problem when minimizing. In addition, you may have problems with regular expression literals. What minifier are you using?

If you plan to include plugins as separate files, the process may rename the character, which is part of the jQuery API, because minifier is not aware of the interaction.

The ASP.net team has published a free tool that can improve the performance of your Ajax applications by reducing the size of its JavaScript files. The new tool is called Microsoft Ajax Minifier. Here you can find: Ajax Minifier Links

Download it here. Download link

If you have PHP5 and Zlib on your server, try this! http://code.google.com/p/minify/

I use it to combine jQ, jQ Plug-ins, jQ-UI and client code of the client application of the site into one file.

Then I upload this JS file and a small JS file with a specific page (with loading, etc.) to each page. It works well ... and it also handles CSS.

I won’t leave home without him. (this is just a saying :)

This is probably a semicolon question. I find Microsoft AjaxMin a pretty reasonable tool that is easy to set up.
