How does the life cycle work?

I just started using the adobe life cycle. I do not need to understand the life cycle from the point of view of developers, but at the moment I have to go through testing applications for the life cycle. where should I start to understand the basics of the life cycle. for example, I would like to know what a watched folder is. refer to the life cycle tutorial.

It's important to understand that LiveCycle is a suite of products (some people even call it a platform). The kit contains many components of the solution, and your approach to testing is likely to depend on which components you work with.

Having said that; LiveCycle applications typically include PDF-based electronic forms that users can fill out online and submit to the BPM server for processing. In later times, the Livecycle can also be seen as the foundation for enterprise Flex applications.

I would suggest checking out the Adobe Evangelism Team Tour de LifeCycle help team:

http://www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/tourdelivecycle/

I found this to be a good centralized point for blogging, touring, and documentation on all of LiveCycle's stuff.

You can find the "LiveCycle Application Development Process" - it focuses on the steps to install, plan, develop, deploy and maintain a LiveCycle application.

Good luck -John
