Tutorials or guides swt

I have several years of experience with swings and feel comfortable that I understand architecture.

Now I need to quickly get speed on the SWT.

What would you recommend to me in online sources or books so that I can quickly unravel the SWT architecture? I really start from scratch.

SWT fragments . That is almost all you need to get started. There are several SWT papers at eclipse.org. A lot like Swing, so you'll be up to date.

Remember to use utilities like GridLayoutFactory and GridDataFactory from JFace. They really reduce the development time of the swt interface.

PDFs from this site are very good: www.cs.umanitoba.ca/~eclipse

There are also some snippets on www.java2s.com (as well as on the eclipse website)

If you used a swing and now want to start with SWT, this book shows you the differences: SWT Eye for Swing Guy

I notice that the Eclipse Visual Editor is being processed again. This is a useful learning tool, even if you do not want to use it to develop your GUIs because of how it converts WYSIWYG -> code and code -> WYSIWYG (within certain limits, of course, this is not magic). Useful for viewing the relationship between code and results.

Have you ever tried the swtxml plugin for eclipse? I find him (even with his mistakes) a little sweet tool. Allows you to create your own composites, etc. using xml.
