WinDbg Remote Debugger

I would like to build a client for dbgsrv.exe . I would like to know if there is a specification of the protocol that it uses, and if there are any (open source?) Libraries that can communicate with it for a remote debugging session.

Edit: see https://www.blackhat.com/presentations/bh-usa-07/Stewart/Presentation/bh-usa-07-stewart.pdf for a presentation that appears to describe the protocol.

Also, viewing the ReactOS source code seems to have some protocol implementation . Additionally, Microsoft Research Singularity may have a debugger available in the source. I know that most of the OS is managed, but I suspect that I have the source code for its remote debugger communication.

Microsoft MDBG is a managed source debugger . This may have an answer.

There is at least one summary from within the debugger and a serial protocol on the network.
