Automatic update for a Windows application

Is there an open source project that automatically updates Windows binaries? The Luau update library is very similar to what I'm looking for, but it was abandoned in 2005.

Google Omaha . But I have not tried and do not know how easy it is to use.

I was interested in the same thing, and I looked at Omaha , but it requires so many preconditions (WiX, Python2.4, Scons, etc.). that it scared me.

All I wanted was something simple, so I also tried WinSparkle , and it is incredibly simple compared to Omaha, I definitely recommend it! Another note about WinSparkle: if you are using Visual C ++ WinForms, you can simply paste the link into lib just like in your original C ++ setup.

Some options were discussed here. What is the best way to implement software updates on Windows?

In particular, this is http://winsparkle.org/ , which I want to draw attention to!

There are two things that I believe are seriously lacking on the Windows platform. One: a secure password store, and this one

A central API that allows applications to register, so I don’t get twenty million effector icons in my system tray as applications that, undoubtedly, SHOULD NOT be updated, but are also used very rarely, tell me you lost the download - another unnecessary update.
