I am a jMonkeyEngine project manager.
I apologize for the late reply, but StackOverflow posts got such an excellent search ranking that people still come to our site using pages like this, so I decided it was best to get this topic up to speed.
In short, yes, you can use jMonkeyEngine 3 on Android. No older versions 1.0 and 2.0. However, since jME3 is based on a shader, it requires OpenGL 2 and higher, that is, we cannot support Android versions up to 2.2 Froyo.
The Android forum is the best place to stay up to date with the latest developments. Of course, we have a test application available in the market. Testing is much appreciated! (Keep in mind that while the tests reportedly work fine for Motorolla and Samsung devices, they haven't worked for HTC phones since they were written. Expect a fix soon.)
In the last note, for those who think that the jMonkeyEngine project has stalled, I welcome you to visit our site and try the latest version of our SDK. It is safe to say that the project is healthier than any previous one.
