Icecast / shoutcast streaming video on Android

Is there any way to broadcast shoutcast / icecast on Android? Passing the icecast URL to the media player does not work, and after studying the topic it seems that this is due to the fact that Android cannot play raw aac files without a media container.

What can I do to get around this?
