NCommon author Rites Rao, unfortunately, has been very quiet for the past year. His blog , however, is an excellent resource for discussing the valid reasons (some of) of ideas in NCommon.
I agree that it is currently difficult to understand that in fact all the smart things within the framework really exist, since there is no example in the original application.
Ritesh said for some time that he intended Rhinestone to become a model for NCommon, but that never succeeded. However, if you look here , you will see that Ritesh is going to make new efforts to create an example application and has begun work on NCommon 1.1 (now on GitHub)
One final note is that Ritesh did not tag all the relevant blog entries with the NCommon tag because he started to upset some templates that he used before he thought about moving all this to NCommon, so check his old posts as well. For example, he talks about the implementation of the "Ignorant Conservation Unit" , but did not tag it with NCommon.
