Test for Visual Studio PC

Hey. Is there a good way to compare a Visual Studio developer computer instead of looking at the specifications? The goal is to set the level and see all the developer passes, if not upgrade them to a new PC. Any thoughts and suggestions?

What about the integrated Windows System Assessment Tool ? It has been part of windows since Vista.

From a related article:

He is currently evaluating:

  • Aero Rating
  • Direct3D Alpha Blend Evaluation
  • Direct3D Texture Load Rating
  • Direct3D ALU Evaluation
  • Windows Media Playback
  • Processor performance
  • Memory performance
  • Disk performance

You can also try something like CrystalMark , it is a free test and gives a general report on the performance of your system in real measured values, not the Windows index. It measures the processor (integer and floating), graphics (2D and 3D), memory, cache and disk.
