JIRA - Resource Availability and Usage Tracking - In Many Projects

I wonder if anyone knows about a JIRA plugin that would provide a consistent view of daily / weekly / monthly / etc. to track people / resources and predict the availability of resources, especially if the resource could be used on several "projects".

  • Ongoing tasks assigned by duration and duration of efforts
  • Future tasks assigned by duration and duration of efforts
  • Availability for assigning tasks based on existing and future elements
  • Conflict, general purpose, prioritization - the ability to quickly view / subscribe
  • The ability for individuals to update the progress of tasks
  • Ability for managers to create reports
  • and etc.

This is for the scenario, if you have ~ 100 + people who spread over 5 locations around the world with different people managers and several Works / multiple Projects books, etc.

We have developed and are supporting our JIRA add-on for resource planning and release planning - ActivityTimeline .

ActivityTimeline provides a weekly grid control panel where rows are people, columns are days of the week. Drag'n'drop JIRA's assignment to plan it someday; Resize or move questions to change planned start and end dates. Everything is visible on one screen, and you can move back and forth in weeks.

Sorry if this sounds too commercial, but hopefully it will be useful for some.

Tempo-Timesheet Feywa gives you the ability to allocate resources and use resources, but only supports JIRA 4.3.4. In the future, if you ever manage to update JIRA (which obviously would be), Feywa support will be lost. I look forward to a solution for resource allocation and resource utilization for JIRA 4.4.3. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a similar need and I met the recent Tempo announcement http://www.tempoplugin.com/ for the release of two new modules that I hope will address these needs, Tempo Planner and Tempo Books - http: //blog.tempoplugin. com / 2013 / tm-software-introduces-a-project-and-portfolio-management-solution-for-atlassians-jira / .

You can use the eazyBI reporting application with JIRA integration to create special reports on JIRA problems based on any standard dimension (projects, components, reporters, assignees, release types, priorities, statuses, time, etc.), as well as using any custom fields.

If you are still looking, this add-on may help: forecast.geertjan.it/This allows you to assign future tasks to a period (s) and teams. This is a multi-project, and also shows the distribution of teams (more). Contact me if you have any questions.
