How to make UISplitViewController in portrait mode?

I want to make UISplitViewController in portrait mode, as in the Settings app. How can i do this?

A little late, but also take a look at Matt Gemmel’s MGSplitViewController. He does what you need and more. This is what the UISplitViewController should be, and its snap-in to implement.

From the documentation of the UISplitViewController class:

The split view controller supports the same interface orientations as its current view of the child controllers. Both view managers are displayed in landscape orientation, but only the detail view controller is displayed in portrait orientations. When switching between orientations, the separation view of the controller sends messages to its delegate object to coordinate the display of the popover with the hidden view controller. For more information about the methods of this delegate object, see the Protocol UISplitViewControllerDelegate Reference.
