The difference between SDL and GLUT

I am learning Opengl graphical programming in Eclipse. Can someone tell me the difference between a GLUT application and an SDL application so that I can dig any of them? Tks.

SDL is a great library for big needs.

If you create a simple demonstration of the rendering mechanism, GLUT is better than SDL, it takes care of many details that would otherwise require SDL.

However, if you are developing a serious application, the SDL is likely to become the tool you need to use, as GLUT theses usually want. SDL gives you much more control over everything.

SDL is a complete multimedia library that supports graphics, sound, input, network, as well as many third-party add-ons. GLUT is a simple graphics library.
