Can I install .net 4.0 web application on IIS6?

I recently upgraded VS 2008 to VS 2010. We installed IIS6 on our server, and we cannot change this in the near future. Despite the fact that we will develop new applications for deployment on IIS7, but if a situation arises, we may need to develop an application using .net 4.0 and be deployed on IIS6, then in this case I would like to know if IIS6 supports .net application 4.0 or not?

If I can deploy, do I need to take care of any configuration or any other parameter that I must change before deploying it?

My very sophisticated sites are now on iis6 running asp.net 4.0

My question was asked: Default.aspx with IIS 6.0 and .Net 4?

as well as this point

<httpRuntime requestValidationMode="2.0" />

You can check the entire list of changes with a change to 4.0.

IIS6 supports ASP.NET 4.0, although if you want to use URL routing, you need to make some adjustments.

There is some information about this on this page: http://blog.stevensanderson.com/2008/07/04/options-for-deploying-aspnet-mvc-to-iis-6/

Yes, you can deploy .net 4.0 to IIS6, provided that you do not have to use any .net 4.0 feature that is not supported by IIS6. We have deployed the .net 4.0 application on IIS6 and it works great.
