Latex magazine / magazine template

Question

we are trying to publish a free magazine with technical articles, articles and training materials on mobile development. We decided to use latex instead, i.e. InDesign. Can anyone recommend some latex templates for magazine / magazines as a starting point, so we don't need to build from scratch? Thanks

The R Journal has a nice template here . Ubuntu (and possibly other distributions) also has a texlive publisher package that contains Latex classes for several magazines. Or, if you have a magazine in mind that you like to read the instructions for the authors page, the changes are that they have a latex class.
