Where can I get a document signing certificate

It seems that everywhere I looked, they are personal certificates for a USB key, and they are used to confirm identity. I have a website that creates PDF documents. I would like to sign them in such a way that they are reliable so that they are released on my website and not be tampered with ...

Doing this with a self-prepared certficiate works for me, but I would only agree with it if it was my last option, so - where can I get a certificate to sign a document?

EDIT - to anyone who answers this question with GENERIC, "any certification body will be," please be MORE specific. They (Goddady, Verisign, Entrust, etc.) sell certificates to protect mail and documents on USB devices that they wonโ€™t do for me.
