Is there a Javascript library for drawing electrical circuits?

I am looking for an open source Javascript library that can draw electrical / electronic circuits in a modern (HTML5) browser - is there such a thing? It should have typical circuit elements, such as resistors, voltage and current sources, capacitors, etc. Thanks in advance for any help.

Wikipedia has an electric character set in SVG format , and you can also search for svg electronics . This is a good start for use with JS drawing libraries.

I do not know the library that does what you want, but there are three libraries that can be good.

• Raphael
• Protovis
• Processingjs

They all have the right primitives to start with what you could build.

I would recommend that you find a library with drawing capabilities, and then write a plug-in for this library that will draw circuit elements where necessary. Raphael is a pretty pretty and easy-to-use drawing library.
