Android Discovery Service Failure Detection on Android
Well, I read a lot of topics in the last two to three days, and nothing seems to be asking about it.
I am writing a PC server for my andriod device, this is for sharing some information and general debugging. In the end, I will connect to the SPP device to control the microcontroller.
Using the following (Android to pc), I was able to connect to the rfcomm 11 channel and exchange data between my Android device and my computer.

I tried to create the createRfcommSocketToServiceRecord (UUID) method, without any luck.
For PC, I use the C Bluez stack for linux. I have the following code that registers a service and opens a server socket:

Sorry for fooling you guys with what seems like a difficult question and a lot to read, but I worked on this issue for a while, and I tried many different things to get this to work.
Let me repeat, I can make it work, but not using the service discovery protocol. I tried several different UUIDs on two different computers, although I only have HTC Incredible for testing.
I also heard some rumors that the BT stack did not work on the HTC Droid, but this is not the case, at least for interacting with a PC.
