File upload is too large

I use cffile action = "Upload" and it works great for small files. But yesterday I tried to download 42Meg pdf, and he just sat there all night long.

Q: Is there something I should know about downloading large files? I define more as: the one that sat there all night and was never timed and was never loaded. For example, is there a cflib or Riaforge procedure that was written to handle large files?

I am currently in version 8 on hosting.com.

In addition to the restrictions on uploading files to CF, most web servers (Apache, IIS, etc.) have a download restriction. Check this.

You can change the settings in CFadministrator> settings> Request Size Limits

Check the maximum message size set in the ColdFusion Administrator. If it is installed below 48 MB, then you will have problems. I downloaded a lot more (200+ MB) with the standard cffile without any problems.
